I am an accomplished journalist, designer, and a seasoned expert in proofreading and editing for grammar, syntax, spelling and punctuation with a keen eye for detail.
Over the course of seven years, I honed my skills in editing and page design at two of Canada’s largest newspapers, namely The Toronto Star and The Globe and Mail. Utilizing programs such as Adobe InDesign for the past decade, I have consistently produced captivating page layouts and succinct display copy, and run workshops on tips for working with the program.
I have worked with Canadian Press and AMA style, and I can quickly adapt to any internal processes. I have experience working with multiple content management systems and using software such as Microsoft Office, Google Suite and Slack. I have management experience as early as 2009 and I’m always excited to learn new skills and abilities on the job.
In addition to my exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, I possess an outstanding command of the English language and conversational proficiency in Japanese, French, and Spanish. My diverse photography portfolio and experience in event management, including organizing charity events and overseeing social media accounts, further enhance my skill set.
With an innate sense of precision, a drive for self-motivation and organizational excellence, and the capacity to handle multiple projects and meet client deadlines, I am certain to be a valuable asset to any organization.
